Before Field2Base, AUI's field documentation ran entirely on paper. Forms could be lost, delayed, incomplete, or sitting in a truck for days before making it back to the office — and with crews working in both English and Spanish, that paper process created inconsistencies in documentation, training, safety reporting, and project visibility that were hard to catch until it was too late.
AUI standardized more than 600 operational processes into a single bilingual platform — from daily foreman reports and job hazard analyses tailored to specific highway corridors, to fall protection checklists, vehicle inspections, excavation logs, confined space permits, and per diem expense tracking. Crews complete the same forms in English or Spanish, so a foreman on one crew and a superintendent on another are documenting the same job the same way, regardless of language. The account has kept growing since — more users, more licenses, more templates — without disrupting the crews already running on the platform every day.
Every crew — English or Spanish speaking — captures the same standardized information from the same forms. AUI has submitted roughly 17,300 forms a year for two straight years running, a steady system of record rather than a one-time rollout. Safety reporting is consistent across projects, quality documentation is complete, and project leaders see what's happening in the field without chasing paperwork.
